Leonardo D. Moral
The majority of my education was completed in Chicago, Illinois. I did my undergraduate study in Mechanical Engineering and earned the Bachelor’s Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1982. I have always had a great appreciation of art and occasionally visited the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
During my professional career, completed two graduate studies where I received my Master’s in. Mechanical Engineering (from the University of Illinois at Chicago) and later my Master’s in Business Administration (from Roosevelt University). The marketing course work involved studying various art techniques and how they are widely used.
I currently reside in Las Vegas; I’ve been living here since 2006. I started painting during 2015, my first simple images emulating Monet. Aside from Monet, I love the painting styles of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt, Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro,
and Jackson Pollack. The influence of these artists can be seen in the
majority of my works.
I love Ballroom Dancing and have, on occasion, danced with ballerinas in Salsa clubs. This inspired me to create many ballerina paintings. After seeing several of my paintings, two people commissioned me to paint 3’ x 4’ pieces for them. I have also painted several portraits of friends and family members.
