Val Simon
Val Simon created art in many forms during her life time. Being self-taught allowed her the experience and the freedom of range in many areas so as not to be limited to one style. From Brooklyn, New York, to California, Las Vegas, Florida, and even Connecticut, her talents had been used for murals, portraits, theaters, stages, casinos, restaurants, homes and wall art. Val also worked in many different mediums, including oils, pastels, acrylic and industrial materials. She started with a traditional style, but because of her love of impressionists her style developed and changed into a unique one she loved, created with materials she loved, and subjects she loved. Val believed that the ultimate achievement as an artist is to create so the viewer experiences great emotions or deep feelings from her pieces.
